Fire Alarm Monitoring Makes the Difference
Fire Alarm Monitoring Offers Maximum Protection
Even the best fire alarm system in the world will not offer maximum protection unless it is monitored by a qualified off-site station, properly staffed and able to respond to any emergency. In the residential setting for example, a home can be vacant for long stretches of the day, when people are at work or at school. If fire erupts when no one is home, then stand-alone smoke detectors may sound an alarm, but no one will hear it. If fire strikes late at night when people are asleep, then smoke and carbon monoxide gas could cause severe injury, preventing people from fleeing or calling for help. In any case, smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detectors that are part of an American Alarm integrated and monitored fire alarm system will send a signal instantly to our 24-hour Security Command Center, where our operators can respond and summon help.
American Alarm also uses multiple communication channels for our fire alarm systems, including telephone, radio and internet connections, to make sure that a signal can get through under any conditions.
Fire Alarm Monitoring On Call 24-7
Fire Alarm Monitoring Protects You and Your Property

Any fire alarm system is only as good as the people who stand
behind it. American Alarm's 24-hour Security Command Center is
Five-Diamond Certified by the Central Station Alarm Association-that's
the highest degree of excellence recognized in the industry. Our
staff responds to priority signals within 20-seconds, on average.
When fire strikes, seconds can make the difference between life
and death, between limited damage and total loss, which is why
our seconds count policy helps make American Alarm "New England's
Trusted Security Company". We do this every day, all day, 24-7,
365 days a year. Our team is always on call and ready respond

Fire Can Be A Real and Deadly Threat
Advances in Fire Alarm System Technology Has Helped Reduce the Fire Incidents and Fire Related Injury
Thankfully, because of advances in fire alarm system technology and firefighting practices, the incidence of fire and fire-related injury is lower today than it was decades ago. Even so, fire remains a serious threat to civilian life and property in the United States. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), in 2006 (the most recent year for which data is available) there were 524,000 structure fires in the United States, including residential and business structures. Those fires caused $ 9.6 billion in damages. In 2006, fire injured 16,400 people, and claimed 3,245 lives; more people died in the United States from fire in 2006, than from all natural disasters combined, the NFPA study found.
